At the beginning of last month, I finally proposed to my girlfriend. Although my girlfriend and I had already been together for over four years, this was still a really big decision for me to make. I was excited to ask my girlfriend to become my wife, but this didn’t stop the butterflies from accumulating in my stomach. While my nerves were already playing havoc with me, I realized that I first had to get an engagement ring.

Despite the fact that I had shopped for jewelry before, those previous experiences didn’t really prepare me for this big one. After lots of searching and thinking about the best ring, I selected an amazing invisible set diamond ring. This may sound strange, but once the weather started to get warmer, I got incredibly excited about Spring arriving. If I had to put up with cold winter weather for the entire year, I know that I would be a very unhappy person. However, the best part about Spring is actually the fact that I get to spend time with my girlfriend for her birthday.

My girlfriend always gives me a really nice present for my birthday (which happens to take place during the Winter), so I always return the favor by getting her a nice gift. When this time of the year arrives, I always make sure that I find time in my schedule to go to the shopping center that is approximately twenty minutes from my home. Even though my evenings are filled with work, I always find time during at least one afternoon to go out and shop for her gift.

When I went to shop for her gift, I actually met the salesperson, and although I was apprehensive at first, he turned out to be a really nice and helpful person. After I had finished talking, my focus was one hundred percent on finding a gift for my girlfriend. It took some time, but I eventually came across a beautiful invisible set diamond ring. When I sit down and try to put my feelings for my girlfriend into words, it’s honestly hard for me to do. Because I love her so much, I always try my best to show her how I feel. I know far too many guys who have lost a woman that they loved because they were too stubborn or afraid to show their affection for her, and I don’t want that to happen to me. Therefore, when it comes to an event like New Year’s Eve, I go all out.
